How to disguise a “Midlife Middle”
I had the wonderful opportunity to illustrate for More Magazine again. This article was about how to disguise a “Midlife Middle” while still dressing fashionably. One of the advices was to accessorize with a belt. If you look below to my process, you can see the integration of the belt as I move to final. I find that sometimes inspiration hits me half way through my process. Does that ever happen to you?
As you can see, I have 2 variations of the final illustration. The Art Director liked the blue one but the yellow one remains my favourite. If you enjoyed this post, let me know below!

Really like this design Christina, and I have become a great fan of your work! It is really nice to see another artist who has a totally different approach, style and technique to me (slightly jealous lol).
Yes inspiration often hits me halfway through especially when doing tattoo designs! There is nothing better than when an idea hits you half way through the process and gives your concept a different perspective.

I’m glad you enjoyed it. I think art is meant to be spontaneous and organic just like our minds. I can definitely relate to what you said about getting hit with inspiration half way through; it’s always a sweet surprise ;)
