The Artist
Christina Ung creates art from a secret hideout in the “Great White North.” Her palette for artistic endeavors was creatively shaped by myriad of inspirations as a kid, everything from familial stories of escaping a war ridden country to playing with paper cutout dolls.
Since 2007, she has illustrated for hundreds of editorial publications and commercial clients across North America and Worldwide. Her works appear in group exhibitions and have achieved recognition in both Communication Arts & Applied Arts annual awards. You can view her illustration portfolio // here //
Besides creating art for a living, Christina is also the founder of drawingfordollars.com; an online resource to educate aspiring illustrators about how to start their own freelance business.

What clients say about Christina..
Christina is one of the most creative, skilled and professional illustrators I’ve ever had the pleasure to collaborate with. She consistently thrilled me with her ideas and how quickly she was be able to turn around a demanding job with incredible results.![]()
— John Montgomery, art director, Canadian Business/MoneySense/Profit
The bold and beautiful design evident in Christina’s work speaks for itself, but I knew that providing all of the illustrations for the 132-page MoneySense Guide to a Perfect Portfolio would be a challenge — especially given the abstract nature of the money concepts we needed to depict. I needn’t have worried though, Christina has an amazing ability to come up with the perfect visual metaphors to illustrate even the most complex ideas. The end result was a perfect mix of sophistication and playfulness, helping to make our finance guide inviting, readable and fun.![]()
